Trunk or treat was Wednesday night.  It was 70 degrees so I was able to get away with the twins in a bath tub.  

Happy Birthday Jena and Josh!

The Twins turned 1 year old this week.  I made them cupcakes.  They enjoyed the mixer beaters more than the actual cupcakes.  Jena received her first baby doll and Josh has a new ride on toy.  I thought since Josh loves paper he would have so much fun tearing the wrapping paper off, he tears all other paper.  But no neither of them wanted to open their presents.  Good thing they have an older brother.  Jayden got right in there and showed them how to get it done.  Happy Birthday Jena and Josh!!!!!

Grandpa Cal Baker

A few weeks ago my Dad and my brother were mountain biking in St George, Utah.  My Dad was involved in a serious accident and had to be air lifted to Las Vegas.  He still remains in Las Vegas in serious condition.  My Dad has always served others.  Even people he didn't know.  The Bishop in his ward (a ward being a congregation in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) said that my Dad had helped more people in their ward than any other person in the ward.  The accident happened just 1 week before he was to run his 3rd marathon. He didn't realize he was training for something more difficult than running a marathon.  I wanted to thank everyone for your loving support and all of the wonderful prayers being said in his behalf.  Daddy I LOVE YOU!  Our prayers are with you during this hard journey.

What a difference a year makes

One Year Ago

Today

I can't believe I am putting this picture on the blog.  It was funny, at first people just looked at you trying to decide if you were pregnant or not and if they should say anything.  As it got closer to the 9 months they would ask when the baby was due.  The last month I was asked if I was having twins.  It was a good thing I was having twins because if I wasn't I would be extremely upset.

From one to three kids just like that.  Three can be very challenging at times but it is worth it.  They are all so different and such a blessing.  We love you Josh, Jena and Jayden!

The pumkin patch

The twins first trip to the pumpkin patch.  They had so much fun.  Jena spent most of her time trying to remove the stems from all the pumpkins.  I think she was able to remove one.  Josh is just happy anytime he is outside.  Jayden, he got lost in the corn maze.

Tomorrow the twins will be 11 months.  I can't believe how fast time flies.  I decided to let Jena and Josh try some spaghetti.  I knew it would make a mess so I removed all clothing.  Jena and Jayden ate everything on their plates (minus the food stuck to themselves).  Josh did pretty good too.  I can say all the kids love spaghetti.  I may have saved time preparing everyone the same thing for dinner but I think it took a lot more time in clean up.

OK, our 6 year old can write better than me.

Jayden does take forever to complete a task.  If Jayden does not finish his work at school it comes home with him and he has to finish it at home.  This paper came back home with only his name on it.  He had 20 minutes to write something and all he did was write his name.  I was a little upset with him because he can do it.  I told him he had to write something to turn in the next day for class.  This is what he wrote.  I only helped him with spelling on 3 words.  I wasn't as upset with him when I read what he wrote.

Did someone say bike ride!

Jayden's favorite, riding his bike with his Dad.  I couldn't believe he actually went down this steep hill.  I was a little nervous, ok a lot nervous, but he did great.  He even hit a jump.  The kids are growing up so fast.

I want to go to the Park! Please!

We walked to the park near our house and here are a few pictures.

Uh Oh we have a climber!

During my mothers last visit she stocked up the snack drawer for back to school.  The babies were not too interested in the drawer until it had something in it.  Now I can't keep them out of it.  The first day Josh found the apple sauce.   A bunch of the apple sauces had teeth marks puncturing the foil on top.  I moved the applesauces that were still sealed into the 2nd drawer,  thinking the babies could not get them there.  Think again if there is a will there is a way.  Josh pulled out the first drawer, climbed into it, and used it as a step to get into the 2nd drawer with the apple sauce.

What's worse than a spider on your front porch?

We have a couple garden spiders that spin these beautiful webs in our yard.  I have a picture of one next to Jayden's hand so you can see how big they get.  How ever one of the garden spiders liked to spin webs on our front porch (front door).   Grandma Lea went to leave one night and almost ran into the spider on her way out.  We took down the web.  The next morning Guy went to leave and the spider had made another web covering the front porch.  Guy dunked under it and went to leave.  He realized he had forgotten something and ran back into the house (forgetting about the spider).  Big mistake.  He ran right into that spider web, finding the spider on the tip of his nose.  He did a cute little dance, removing the spider from his nose.  All I can say is better him than me.  By the way, the spider has not made a web on our front porch since.

And the answer to the question.  What is worse than a spider on your front porch?  A spider on the tip of your nose, of course.

Camping in the play house

Jayden and Daddy camped in the play house.  Jayden was so excited.  They got to stay up late and they watched a movie.  (Even though I don't think watching movies has anything to do with camping.)  But they were not the only ones who stayed up late.  The mosquitos were out too and I think they won.  Jayden had 11 bites on his hand, 10 bites on his face and more bites everywhere else.  Good thing they had fun or else I think all they would remember is their unwanted guests.

We love going outside!.

Jena and Josh love being outside.  We have a sand and water table they played in for the first time.  They splashed and played.  They were up and down.  After about 30 minutes they were dirty and I think their diapers absorbed as much water and mud as they possibly could.  I finally removed the diapers and let them play in their birthday suits.  They had so much fun.

Josh's walk

Poor Josh had roseola this week.  He had a high fever for 5 days and then the rash came.  During the 5 days I thought there was no way it could be roseola because Jena wasn't sick.  They share everything, but on the 6th day the rash came.  At least we finally knew what was wrong.  The end of the week Josh was his old self and practicing walking as you can see in the clip above.

Peek-A-Boo Jena

Jena is our big ham.  She loves to play Peek-A-Boo as in the video above.  She has also made her first sign(sign Language) which is milk.  She waves bye bye and claps her hands.

Josh and Jena's first beach trip

I finally took Jena and Josh to the beach.  I was so afraid they would eat sand, get sun burned, or crawl into the hot sand.  They did really well.  A little sand in their food,  Josh crawled on the boogie board and not the hot sand, and Jena would not keep her hat on and she got just a little pink.  Not too bad.  We went with our friends Brian and Heidi Neville and Janette and all of the kids so I did have lots of help.  Jayden spent most of his time jumping the waves.  I got an action shot of that.
